Soda Can Hair Clip

First off if you haven't entered for a chance on my giveaway go here to enter.

I don't want anyone to miss their chance to win this you are all such great follower's!

Now on to another soda can craft. Yes another one sorry but hey they don't cost much if anything!
How cute would this look in your little ones hair or your's? Ready to make one?
Drink your soda and clean out your can and cut off the top and bottom so you have one flat piece of alminum.

1. Trace a circle on you piece of can.
2. Mark your cicle like picture 2 with 6 lines. (I actually just cut didn't draw on mine only this one for the tutorial).
Edited to add:
LOL, sorry I did my tutorial with six petals but the other ones I made had eight either way is still cute just wanted to let you know you can make them either way just add a couple more cut's if you want eight!
3. Cut down each line and mark rounded edges on each petal.(Again just cut mine).
4. Cut the corner's to all be rounded.

Now just spray paint whatever color or color's you like grab some bling for the middle a button, gem or whatever you like and a alligator clip or any other clip and your hot glue gun and a piece of wax paper.

*Edited to add: Sorry another edit some were concerned about the edges being sharp so I messed around some more with them and found that if you painted your flower with modge podge coating the edges really good this will make the edges thicker so you don't have to worry about cuts:)

Clip your waxed paper in your clip as you would your hair this is just to keep the two prongs from being glued together. Then glue your flower on top.

Glue your bling to the middle and your done! So easy and cute and you can make so many out of just one soda can.

Make a bunch of colors. The red one on the right is actually pink and the one in the middle looks crackled kinda cool but I don't know how it did that?

They look so adorable don't they???
Or glue a magnet to the back and you have cute magnet's for your fridge or magnet board!

I'm adding this to the iron crafter's competition too!

Those are really cute! They're a fun change from the fabric flowers.

I have a question~are the edges sharp? I want to make some of these for my nieces but they're kind of naughty and I can just see them using these like Japanese throwing stars.

Lol! That was my thought too suzanne I was worried about that too but they don't seem too sharp but I was thinking of maybe add hot glue on the edges on the bottom side before spray painting them that would make a thicker edge. Does that make sense?
