Craft Foam Necklace

I got an idea when I saw a post of another bloggers and tried it out.

She had made this bracelet from foam that meat comes in her butcher gave her some new ones that hadn't had meat in them. Check out her tutorial here at Neccies Creations.

I did mine with craft foam I already had it and didn't need to go to the store to get any.
I just cut my foam in long strips and then cut the strips into squarish shapes double the size I wanted them to be.
I laid the squares out flat on a cookie sheet and put them in my oven at 350 degrees and just watched till they shrunk up to about half the size. (This also hardens the foam a little).
Then I took them outside and lightly spraid them with some off white and black paint to give them some more color. Strung them all on some nylon bead cord and sewed on ribbons and sewed the bow's on each side of the beads. A fun craft to do with little kids and you can make them in so many fun colors!
