Painted Shoes

Can you believe that I was picked for not only one product I applied for on totally tutorials but both of the products. This time I am using Soft Fabric Paint by Simply Soft.

I received this package of six spray paints.

I found these plain canvas shoes at Family Dollar for five dollars. I knew the would be perfect to paint on.

I used some Klear-Cover Contact paper to make some stencils from.

I just free handed a flower on a piece of contact paper.

Cut out the petals of the flowers with an X-acto knife.

Went outside and covered the ground with paper placed the stencil where I wanted and sprayed it with the Poppy Red Spray Paint.

When I moved the stencil I noticed I over sprayed.

After doing the first flower I just wiped off my stencil with a paper towel and moved it. This time I put paper towels inside the shoe and on the sides of the stencil .

I just repeated till I had as many flowers around the shoe as I wanted.

Then I just repeated the process and cut out a leaf shape and a circle for the middle of the flower, I also painted a few flowers in the Brite Yellow. For the Leaves I used Green Apple and for the circles of the flowers I used Deep Purple and Blue Jay

I really liked them like this.

But then I decided I didn't like so much white so I  sprayed the entire shoe with water from a water bottle and soaked it pretty well.

I lightly sprayed them with the Brite Yellow, Blue Jay and the Green Apple. I love how they turned out.
I showed our 17 year old boy and he loved them to so they must be pretty cool right?

Thank you so much Totally Tutorials and Simply Spray for the opportunity to do this tutorial. It was so much fun!!!
