You're so Very Creative

Every Thursday Night or Friday night before our High School Football team plays at home we go and lay out quilts on the grand stands to save our spots and spots for our family. We aren't the only ones half the town does this. We live in a small town where this is about the only thing there is to do and so most of the town shows up. For the last four years that we have had a child playing high school football we have done this routine. Friday night we would just head straight up to our spot on the top row of the grand stands at the 50 yard line knowing it was there waiting for us.
My husband worked the day shift this last Friday so I sent the kids up to "our" spot and told them we would meet them up there as soon as I got my husband in with our pass. The kids quickly made their way back down saying all of our quilts were gone as were our spots. This was so disappointing you don't expect much to happen in our small town not even someone taking your quilts. I'm so bummed now it is cold and we are down to nearly no quilts. Why do people do things like this? It's sad that we won't be able to do this any more. Enough with my venting and on to more fun things...

Maybe someone will have a fun quilt idea this week??!!??

Thanks for hosting! Sorry about your quilts - I can't believe people would do that. Unfortunately, I am not a sewer at all so I can't help you out in that department! :)

I'm so sorry that happened to you and your family! No matter it was that was taken, you just feel kinda violated when someone steals from you...don't lose faith in humanity, though. I think the good folks still outnumber the meanies. Especially since they were quilts, they're probably pretty unique - you should put up wanted posters or something for them. That's usually reserved for pets and such, but it might work!
