Please Welcome Michele from Michele Made Me
Hi there! My name is Michele and I am so excited to be pitching in for Heather's Crafty Creative Christmas event! I've travelled over from a crafty little corner called Michele Made Me where I go off on creative tangents as often as possible and share with you the discoveries I make while out there.
So for my part in this Crafty Christmas conspiracy I want to highlight a few of the Christmas crafts I've designed. Now I must tell you, I love to recycle. It appeals to the little environmentalist living inside my head but also to my pocket book. What I'm saying is that, yes, I am cheap. I mean you can't beat the prices at your friendly household recycling bin. No you cannot.
Here then, are two recent Christmas ornaments I've made from one of my favourite recyclables: the lowly toilet paper roll.
First there is the toilet roll snowflake which I concocted on a hot summer day in a truly misguided attempt to beat the heat.
Indeed, I am beyond fond of the toilet paper roll. I've also turned them into these toilet roll flower brooch/ornaments. Is it a brooch? Is it a tree ornament? Well, it can be both! Yippee!
And finally my third and last offering is NOT made from toilet paper rolls. Instead it is made from denim scraps. It is the denim disc Christmas tree ornament, made by rolling up jean seams into discs and piling the discs into little Christmas trees.
Now as you can see, I've provided links to all the accompanying tutorials in case you get a hankering to make any of them. If you do, drop me a line at Michele Made Me! I'd LOVE to see how it all turned out!
Thank you so much Heather for inviting me to be part of this festive event. What a great idea! Let's do this again, shall we?
