Laundry Detergent Box to Storage Box

I didn't do a tutorial for these because it is so simple!

Another item we go through a lot of at my house is Laundry Detergent. I did try the home made laundry detergent, but for my smelly athletic boys, I didn't feel like it was cutting it so we went back to our trusted brand.

One day I was getting ready to throw out the box and noticed how sturdy it was. I thought they would make great storage boxes, so I started saving some. I had just planned on storing things in closets and not decorating them but I had a shelf on my computer desk that needed some storage and I measured the detergent boxes and they were the perfect lengh and width but were too tall. So I cut the top and lid off and cut notches in the front to make it easy to pull them off the shelf. Then  Modge Podged on old book pages and scrapbook paper.

Then glued coffee filter flowers to the front.

The shelf on my computer desk looks much better. Organized with cute boxes! And another nearly free project. I already had everything on hand.

Note: I also covered the inside to keep stray laundry detergent from coming out onto the items in the box.
