Wow so many amazing projects this week, you guy's are amazing!!!I would really love to feature them all!

I have been so busy with the end of school and haven't had much time for projects myself so I love seeing all of yours. School got out this week my-step son graduated High School. And I have a 14 year old and so does my husband so a son and a step-son both had a 8th grade graduation promotion. Yes our house is crazy! Now it will be even crazier with them all home for the summer, but I will have more time with not quite as much running around so I hope to have things back to normal here.

Picture/Recipe Holder

In case you missed it here is the tutorial I shared at The Scrap Shoppe a few weeks ago.

 Picture/Recipe Holder

Here is what you will need to make your own....

  • A 1 X 2 cut into 3 1/2" pieces one for each holder
  • Clothespin
  • Modge Podge
  • Wood Glue (optional)
  • Glue Gun
  • Small fake flowers
  • Patterned paper
  • Paint (craft, spray paint, whatever you prefer)
Ready? Let's get started!

Add glue either wood glue or use your glue gun to the half of the clothespin that you squeeze.

Place it on top of your cut 1X2 with the snap part sticking above the wood.

Paint your holder whatever color you like with whatever paint you would like.

Cut a piece of patterned paper to fit your holder and Modge Podge onto the front of the holder.

Cut another piece of patterned paper and add to the top of the clothespin, and another small piece to add on the bottom of the holder on top of the other piece already modge podged on.

Glue on your fake flowers

Clip on recipes, pictures, little notes or whatever you would like.

Enjoy your new holder!

Pattern Review and Giveaway JennyandTeddy Creation - Closed

I'm so excited to share an Etsy shop with you today, and the designer of the cute patterns.

Jane is the girl behind the patterns, she is such a sweetie. I got to help test a pattern for her on Ravelry and when I was finished she asked if I would do a pattern review and giveaway on my blog. I jumped at the chance. I love her darling Amigurumi patterns.

Here are just a few pictures of some she has in her shop....

pdf amigurumi crochet pattern bear teddy, panda, frog, welcome to sell the finished item
Free amigurumi crochet pattern Mr.Frog
pdf amigurumi crochet pattern monkey brother and sister ,welcome to sell the finished item
pdf amigurumi crochet pattern girl -rose,character,welcome to sell the finished item

Here is a little more from Jane...

When I knew and learnt about making amigurumi crochet dolls,it was fascinating me and I cannot stop making them ,they are so so cute ! Every time I look at them it make me feel so happy and relax, anyway I also like to do baking too!

The pattern I got to test and am reviewing is her Girlgang Pattern.

pdf amigurumi crochet pattern teddy bear, panda, hippo, elephant ,welcome to sell the finished item

Aren't they all adorable?

I was sent the pattern and was asked to choose one to test. Talk about a hard decision they are all so cute, but at least I can make the rest later. I choose to do the Elephant.

This was such an easy pattern to follow, with pictures that helped you along. I can't wait until I get more time to finish the rest. My elephant is 7" tall. So much larger than I thought they looked from the picture.

Check out her blog for free patterns too!

Now the fun part for all of you wanting to make some cute Amigurumi dolls for yourself or for gifts.
