Cardboard & Burlap Letter

So I have been wanting to buy a paper mache P and decorate for a while, but I haven't seen one that I have liked. Of course there are NO stores where I live that sell them so that is part of the problem. You guys that are lucky enough to live near a Micheal's, Joann's, Hobby Lobby or any craft store for that matter are soooo lucky! I can't just run out and grab whatever I want. I have to wait until I go on a trip or order items off the Internet but then I have to pay shipping and wait of course and when I want to make something I want to do it then not two weeks from that time. Any way way off track there, sorry!

So I made my own! Only thing is I was to impatient to wait on paper mache drying. (I guess patience isn't a virtue I posses)! So I just did the cardboard letter and then glued burlap and twine on it and added a rolled rosette and felt leaves. I free handed the P so it's not perfect but that works for me!

I hung it up by my Twigs & Rosette Wreath.

So What do you think? I like how it turned out. Only problem....I now have to make and M my kids last name start with M and they want one for them as well, so off to make another!

Check out the parties I link to.

I just love that wreath - and the letter turned out really well, too! Thanks for all the inspiration - I am nominating you as a Versatile Blogger - if you've been nominated before, just consider yourself extremely multifaceted :)
